One Day With Us. Three Months of Content.

We come to you, film the practice properly, and leave you with enough to stop the scroll until the next visit.

The Bigger Brand is a Manchester-based dental marketing agency that produces content and video for private and mixed dental practices across the UK and Ireland. Everything is filmed on site: practice films, patient journey videos, treatment explainers, team introductions, social media reels and photography for your website and ads. Every asset is delivered in landscape and vertical formats, and patient consent is documented for every image we use.

Why video and content work for dental practices

Every channel you market through needs something to show. Ads need fresh creative on a regular basis, and your website needs images that actually look like your practice. Without footage of their own, most practices end up plugging the gaps with stock photos and the same couple of videos on repeat.

A proper shoot day sorts that out in one go. You get your real team and your real surgeries, cut into the right format for each place it’s going, so everything you put out looks like it came from the same practice.

Half the country is frightened of what you do for a living

Fifty-two per cent of UK adults say they’re anxious about going to the dentist. Just under half of those blame the pain, and 41% the drill.

Most of that fear was formed decades ago, in a chair that looked nothing like yours, by a dentist who retired in 2004. You can’t argue somebody out of that, and you certainly can’t do it with a stock photo of a woman laughing at a toothbrush.

What does work is showing them the room before they have to walk into it. The corridor, reception, your nurse who’s clearly having a nice day. Then the chair, which looks a lot less frightening than the one in their head.

Familiarity beats reassurance every time, which is why we film in your practice rather than sending you a template. The footage is a means to an end. What you’re really paying for is the thing that makes a nervous person book.

The dental video and photography we produce

Everything is filmed in your practice, with your team, in the formats each channel needs.

The practice film

It opens with drone footage over the town and the building, then moves inside. It's shot landscape for your website and YouTube, and it puts your practice somewhere real, which matters more than people expect for a local business.

The patient journey

A real visit, from front door to chair. It's the single most valuable thing we shoot, because it answers the fear directly rather than talking around it.

Treatment explainers

Your principal explains one treatment at a time in plain English. They're short and vertical, and they feed social, your website, SEO and AI search all at once. A transcript is quotable. A pretty video isn't.

Team introductions

Patients choose people, not practices. We film 30 seconds with each person, somewhere that isn't a white wall.

Social reels

Behind the scenes, before and afters where compliance allows, day-in-the-life clips and the dog in reception if you have one. This is the stuff that makes a practice feel like a place rather than a business.

Photography

We work from three separate shot lists, because they're three different jobs. The website needs calm and wide. Social needs faces and moments. Ads need something that stops a thumb in the first frame.

CAMERA-SHY?

Nobody likes being on camera, including your principal

It’s the most common objection we hear, and it’s entirely reasonable.

So we bring a script. We film in short takes rather than asking anyone to remember a paragraph, and we start with the easy stuff to warm everyone up. We won’t put a camera in the face of anyone who doesn’t want one there.

Most people forget it’s running within about ten minutes. For the ones who don’t, we work around them and build the content from the practice and the treatments instead.

Nobody has ever regretted doing it. Several have regretted putting it off for a year.

HOW IT WORKS

How a dental shoot day works

Most of the work happens before we arrive, so the day itself runs smoothly.

You sign off the shot list, and scripts are written and sent five days ahead so nobody’s improvising. Consent forms are sorted for every patient on camera, and one surgery is blocked out. We agree the treatment list together, so we film what you actually want to sell more of.

Exterior and wide practice shots come first, with the drone while the light’s good. Team portraits happen before everyone’s tired and self-conscious. Talking heads are filmed in one block so you’re only mic’d up once, and we finish with B-roll of hands, instruments and detail.

Everything is backed up before we leave the car park, and first cuts arrive within five working days. Every asset is tagged by treatment so you can actually find it in six months. You get vertical and landscape versions of everything, because you’ll need both.

Tired of stock photos?

Tell us which treatments you want more of and we’ll plan a shoot day around them, with a shot list, a schedule and a clear idea of what you’ll get at the end.

FAQs

Frequently asked questions about dental content and video

A typical dental content day covers practice and exterior footage, team introductions, treatment explainers, a patient journey film, and photography for the website, social media and advertising. Filming several formats in one visit is far more efficient than separate shoots, and most practices come away with enough material for three months of social media and ad creative.

Yes. Video generally outperforms still images on Instagram, Facebook and TikTok, and short vertical video gets the widest reach on those platforms. For dental practices in particular, footage of the practice and the team eases patient anxiety far better than written reassurance, and a large share of UK adults say they feel anxious about the dentist.

Yes, with documented patient consent, but they mustn’t imply guaranteed or typical results, and ASA rules restrict their use in advertising for clear aligner treatment. Images must show real cases and mustn’t be edited in ways that misrepresent the outcome. Written consent should say which channels the images can appear on.

In the UK, dental video production is usually charged per shoot day or as part of a monthly content retainer. A single shoot day covering several formats generally produces enough material for months of content, which makes it better value than commissioning individual videos. Costs vary with travel, crew size, drone footage and the amount of editing.
